Off the train, into the mission

London to Paris takes two hours and sixteen minutes. Gare du Nord to our front door takes five.

Team Break runs its central Paris venue at 44 rue de Dunkerque, in the 9th arrondissement, a short walk from Gare du Nord and about ten minutes from Gare de l’Est. If you arrive by Eurostar from London, or by train from Brussels or Amsterdam, this is the closest thing Paris has to an escape room on the platform.

Ten missions, sixty minutes each, and a Game Master who will run the whole thing in English. No French required, no experience needed, and no need to cross the city with a suitcase.

Two other venues if this one is full: La Défense, in the business district, and Roissy-CDG airport, for layovers. The full picture is in our guide to escape rooms in Paris.

What to expect

Before

Arrive fifteen minutes early. The clock starts on time, and every late minute is game time lost. Your Game Master sets the scene and the rules, in English.

Sixty minutes

Search everything, say everything out loud, split up. Your Game Master watches and sends a hint if you get stuck. Hints are free. Pride is optional.

After

A debriefing, a team photo, and a long argument about who found the decisive clue. Plan about an hour and a half on site in total.

Questions, Agent?

How far is it from Gare du Nord?

About five minutes on foot. We are at 44 rue de Dunkerque, in the 9th arrondissement, and roughly ten minutes from Gare de l’Est.

Can we really play everything in English?

Yes. Every mission, every clue, every briefing. Mention it when you book or when you arrive, and your Game Master runs the whole thing in English.

How much does it cost?

From €32 to €45 per person depending on your team size: €45 each for two players, €35 at four, and €32 from six players upwards. Weekends cost the same as weekdays.

What can we do with a large group?

Two murder parties run at Paris 9. Murder at the Speakeasy takes up to fifteen players and Le Secret des Jeux from eleven upwards. Everyone plays a character, so nobody stands in a corner watching.

Where is the Grand Rex escape game?

Save the Cinema is a separate venue, inside the Grand Rex cinema in the 2nd arrondissement, about fifteen minutes from Paris 9. It is booked separately from the missions on this page.

Can two people play?

Only one: Haunted Room, which takes two to six players. Every other mission at Paris 9 needs at least three or four. If you are a duo, La Défense and Roissy-CDG each have five two-player missions.

Do we need to book in advance?

Strongly recommended, especially at weekends and during school holidays. Each room hosts one team at a time, so slots are limited. If you are arriving by train, book before you travel.
